Job summary

Boothby Therapy Services, LLC seeks a Special Education Teacher in Bowdoin, Maine for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role serves students in grades 6–8, with a personalized placement process and strong administrative support.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized instruction, develop IEPs, and monitor student progress in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Maine Special Education certification or eligibility for certification.
• Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction to students receiving special education services.
• Develop, implement, and manage IEPs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and related service providers.
• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions.
• Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional growth.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and district special education regulations.
• Foster inclusive and supportive learning environments.
