Job summary

ProCare Therapy in Norwalk, CT seeks two full-time special education professionals to support middle school students with individualized and small-group instruction in inclusive settings, Monday through Friday. You will deliver ELA/Math interventions, develop IEPs, collaborate with teachers and families, and participate in ongoing professional development throughout the school year.

Compensation ranges from $26.34 to $48.34 per hour, with benefits including healthcare, housing, and meals.

Qualifications

• CT special education certification or eligibility
• Experience with middle school reading and math intervention preferred
• Familiarity with evidence-based reading programs (SPIRE, WILSON, Orton-Gillingham) desirable
• Excellent collaboration and communication with students, families, and staff

Responsibilities

• For 6th Grade ELA/Math: deliver small-group reading and math instruction; implement intervention strategies; monitor progress
• For Academic Assistance (Grades 6-8): support executive functioning, reinforce classroom concepts, provide academic coaching in a resource setting
• Develop and maintain IEPs, document progress, tailor instruction
• Collaborate with classroom educators, families, and support staff to foster an inclusive atmosphere
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives throughout the academic year

Two immediate full-time positions are now available for dedicated special education professionals, supporting middle school learners through individualized and small-group instruction. You'll become a valued part of an inclusive school community, serving students in integrated and resource settings, Monday through Friday, 35 to 37.5 hours each week.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Connecticut special education certification, or eligibility for state certification required
• Experience with middle school curriculum, particularly in reading and math intervention preferred
• Familiarity with evidence-based reading programs (SPIRE, WILSON, Orton-Gillingham) highly desirable for the ELA/math role
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
