Job description

The Schuylkill Valley School District has an anticipated vacancy for a Special Education Teacher (Multi Disabilities) at the Middle School. This position is responsible for assisting in the implementation of the district’s special education team program. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. EOE.

Qualifications:

1. Must have experience in learning support, instructional adaptation, effective interaction patterns, student discipline/behavior management, providing assistance for at-risk children, and assisting regular classroom teachers in meeting goals set by the special education team.
2. Appropriate elementary education, 7-12 mathematics, or English certification and special education PA certification are required.
3. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others and an acceptable record of attendance are also required.
