Formación

• Valid Alabama SPED certification for K-6 or 6-12.

Embark on a new opportunity to make a substantial difference as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school setting. This contract role offers an immediate start and will continue through late May 2027. Youll be working onsite, engaging directly with students and benefiting from the support of dedicated paraprofessionals in your classroom. Two positions are open for self-contained elementary classrooms, where your expertise and commitment will help shape a supportive and inclusive environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Certification for Alabama (K-6 or 6-12). Certification info can be verified at the Alabama Educator Certification Portal.
• Experience or solid understanding of working in self-contained special education environments preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with para/aide support staff.
• Dedication to fostering a nurturing learning atmosphere for elementary-aged students.
• Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs.
