Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a dedicated educator for their program in Fitchburg, MA, responsible for preparing and teaching lessons aligned with the Massachusetts curriculum and IEPs. Ideal candidates will supervise Teacher's Aides and work positively with students to meet their diverse needs.

Qualifications

Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island provides individualized treatment for children, adolescents and young adults with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences. We serve individuals throughout the New England area and beyond, and work collaboratively with state agencies and social service providers to ensure an integrated network of care. Our service offerings include residential treatment; campus- and community-based group homes; adult group homes and placement services; a special education day school; autism services; short-term placement; diagnostic services; in-home services; vocational training; and therapeutic foster care. Based in Fitchburg, MA, our CARES School is a therapeutic day school that serves individuals age 6 through 21 who carry diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Intellectual Disability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach lessons in accordance with MA curriculum framework and students' IEPs.
• Provide supervision of Teacher's Aides in the classroom.
• Work diligently to meet the needs of our students, both in the classroom, and by being a positive role model to others.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license required
• Bachelor's degree required
• Massachusetts DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities required
• Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred
• Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA
