Job summary

LEARN Academy in Casa Grande, AZ is seeking a Special Education Teacher with Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe certification to design and deliver specially-designed instruction for students with diverse needs.

You will develop and implement IEPs, utilize SDI strategies, and collaborate with OTs, SLPs, BCBA’s and Administrators to support academic and functional growth. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered and a 10-month contract with salary paid over 12 months.

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona Special Education Credential or enrolled in a certification program.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred, or intern status in a special education program.
• Autism-specific or related certificate preferred – accepted with another credential.
• Experience with students with challenging behaviors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement student IEPs and SDI.
• Administer instructional activities to create a positive learning climate.
• Identify and modify instructional resources to meet diverse needs.
• Collaborate with OTs, SLPs, BCBA s, clinicians and Administrators.
