Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid New Jersey instructional certificate with the appropriate Special Education endorsement, or eligibility to obtain appropriate New Jersey certification.
• Strong knowledge of special education practices and evidence-based instructional strategies.
• IEPs are understood and implemented.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement differentiated instruction aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards and IEPs.
• Provide specially designed instruction and academic support based on identified goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and child study team to support access to curriculum.
• Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and document outcomes.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse abilities and learning needs.
• Use various instructional strategies and interventions to support learning.
• Maintain clear classroom expectations and a safe, productive environment.
• Communicate with families and school personnel about student progress.
