Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Charleston, SC, for a full-time contract. The teacher will provide quality services to kindergarten through 12th grade students under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator and collaborate with general education staff.

Minimum requirements include a valid state teaching certificate and a preferred Bachelor’s Degree, plus potential endorsements (LBS1). Eligible for health benefits and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or preferred from an accredited university.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
• Collaborate with Special Education Program Administrator and general education staff in planning and implementing student programs.
