Job summary

EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Westmoreland, New Hampshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students with disabilities.

The role involves developing and implementing IEPs, providing direct instruction in multiple settings, collaborating with teachers and families, and monitoring student progress to ensure success.

Qualifications

• Valid state certificate in Special Education (Mild to Moderate or Moderate to Severe).
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction in various settings (one-on-one, small group, whole class).
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate students' learning styles.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP compliance.
• Participate in professional development and training as required.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
