Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and endorsements in the areas of teaching assignment.
• Certification or licensure: South Dakota teaching certificate
• Knowledge of IEP process and special education law; training in assessment and interpretation of information.

Responsibilities

• Plan instructional tasks that are meaningful and related to learning goals.
• Implement District curriculum and maintain high instructional focus.
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse needs and learning styles.
• Conduct ongoing assessments for learning.
• Establish classroom rules and procedures and maintain an organized environment.
• Participate in professional growth and school/community events.
• Coordinate IEPs and related documentation with parents per district policy.
• Report student progress to parents and students and manage other duties as assigned.
