Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education.
• Minnesota license through PELSB.
• Appropriate Minnesota license/endorsement for population and disability area.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs based on student needs, goals, accommodations, and modifications.
• Provide specially designed instruction using evidence-based teaching strategies and differentiated learning approaches.
• Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments to support diverse learners.
• Monitor and document student academic, behavioral, and developmental progress.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, administrators, and families.
• Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Implement positive behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies.
• Create a structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Support students in developing academic, social, communication, and independent living skills.
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations.
