Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education from a PSC-approved college or university.

• Knowledge of AKS curriculum, IDEA, and effective instructional practices; ability to infuse technology into instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and/or specially designed instruction aligned with IEPs.
• Collaborate with regular educators and administrators to support students with disabilities.
• Develop and prioritize instructional objectives based on the AKS curriculum.
• Administer screening and diagnostic assessments and interpret results for parents and teachers.
• Plan lessons and assessments, ensuring clear objectives and alignment with AKS.
• Organize content and use effective instructional strategies and varied representations.
