Job summary

Gifted Healthcare seeks a dedicated Special Education teacher in Tucson, AZ to support students with diverse learning needs. You will collaborate with general education staff, specialists, and families to create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and ensure access to appropriate services.

You will teach and mentor students in whole-class, small-group, and one-on-one settings, adapt lesson plans to each student’s abilities, and contribute to parental supports with behavior

Qualifications

Teach and mentor students in class, small groups, and one-on-one.
Assess students and develop IEPs in collaboration with other teachers.
Adapt lesson plans to meet each student’s needs and abilities.
Educate parental supports with behavior strategies and home activities.

Responsibilities

Teach and mentor students as a class, in small groups, and one-on-one
Assess students and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with other classroom teachers, staff, and specialists
Adapt lesson plans to meet each student’s specific needs and abilities
Educate parental supports with behavior control and home activities designed to supplement classroom lessons
