Job summary

Point Quest Group is hiring a Special Education Teacher in Maricopa, AZ for the 2026-2027 school year. You will develop IEPs, implement PBIS, supervise paraprofessionals, and partner with families and staff to promote growth across academics and social-emotional areas.

The role requires AZ teaching certification, a bachelor's degree, and fingerprint clearance; a master's degree is preferred. A $2,500 placement bonus is available and comprehensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Arizona Dept. of Education Special Education Teaching Certificate required
• Bachelor's degree required
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required
• Master's degree in special education preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans aligned to IEP goals and state standards
• Adapt general education curriculum to meet individual student needs
• Implement and manage PBIS program with behavior tracking and parent communication
• Supervise and direct paraprofessionals in the classroom
• Attend and lead IEP meetings and maintain compliant documentation
• Assess and track progress toward IEP goals
• Collaborate with families, related service providers, and outside agencies
• Support assistive technology and augmentative communication devices
