Job summary

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
• Provide direct instruction to students in academic, functional, social, and behavioral skills based on individual needs.
• Implement behavior intervention plans and use positive behavioral supports to promote student success.
• Adapt and modify curriculum, instructional strategies, and materials to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to plan and deliver accommodations, modifications, and inclusive practices.
• Utilize a variety of assessment tools and data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation as required by law and district policy.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and staff to foster strong partnerships.
• Supervise and collaborate with instructional assistants, paraprofessionals, or support staff assigned to the classroom.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with evidence-based practices, instructional strategies, and compliance requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
