Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks a half-time (0.5 FTE) Special Education teacher for Rolling Terrace Elementary School in Takoma Park, MD. The position requires knowledge of MCPS curriculum, IEP processes, and applicable ESSA/IDEA policies, with strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education from an accredited college or university.
• Meets Maryland State Dept of Education certification requirements for Standard Professional Certification I in special education.
• Experience with IEP development and collaboration with general education teachers is implied.
• Knowledge of ESSA, IDEA, and state/federal special education policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities.
