Job summary

EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Saline, Michigan. The ideal candidate will foster an inclusive learning environment and meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities, delivering high-quality instruction and coordinating IEPs.

Responsibilities include developing IEPs, direct instruction in various settings, and collaboration with staff, parents, and the community to support student progress and success.

Qualifications

• Valid state certificate in Special Education.
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community members.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction in one-on-one, small group, and whole class settings.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP compliance.
• Participate in professional development and training.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
