Job summary

EDU-Aids is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in an inclusive learning environment. The candidate will develop and implement IEPs, provide direct instruction, and adapt curricula to meet diverse needs of students with disabilities.

The role requires collaboration with general education teachers, support staff, and families, ongoing progress monitoring, and commitment to professional growth within a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Valid state certificate in Special Education (Mild to Moderate or Moderate to Severe).
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction in one-on-one, small group, and whole class settings.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP compliance.
• Participate in professional development and training as required.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
