Job summary

The teacher collaborates with the team to develop IEPs and provide specialized instruction for students with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, and other needs.

Qualifications

• Background checks required.
• Experience with adolescents in SPED and autism.
• Ability to write/modify IEPs for students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop student IEPs with PPT and oversee implementation.
• Conduct assessments as needed.
• Develop curriculum, create learning materials and instructional strategies.
• Design data collection systems and present data to inform decisions.
• Participate in and oversee positive behavioral support plans.
• Provide training and supervision for classroom staff.
• Attend team, PPT and classroom meetings; coordinate with specialists.
