Qualifications

• Familiarity with assistive technology for students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Assesses student needs and develops an IEP/504 plan for students with disabilities.
• Plans instruction and integrates student goals into classroom plans.
• Trains and supervises teacher assistants for students with disabilities.
• Coordinates services with other professionals to support student outcomes.
• Teaches using current effective-teaching research and differentiated instruction.
• Manages behavior to foster independence and positive self-concept.
• Maintains records and contributes to eligibility determinations and referrals.
• Collaborates with teachers, counselors, therapists, and parents to support students.
