Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our inclusive learning community. In this role, you will design and implement specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs, fostering an environment where every student can achieve their full academic and personal potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with varied learning, emotional, and developmental needs.
  • Adapt general education curricula, instructional strategies, and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Provide direct specialized instruction in push-in, pull-out, or self-contained classroom settings.
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers (speech, OT, PT), and parents to ensure coordinated student support.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress, document data, and adjust instructional goals as needed.
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional growth and behavioural self-regulation.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and district special education regulations and timelines.
