Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a Special Education teacher to drive achievement for students with diverse needs. You will develop individualized programs, implement IEPs, and track progress while coordinating with families and school teams.

The role is grant-funded under IDEA B with potential for continuation based on the grant, and includes responsibilities such as collaboration, after-school duties, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution is required.
• Experience in a Special Education classroom is strongly preferred.
• Valid Texas state certification in Special Education is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs for a caseload of students.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual student needs and progress.
• Assess and track student progress; communicate with families weekly.
• Collaborate with general education staff, specialists, and administrators.
• Attend weekly meetings and participate in after-school duties as needed.
