Job description

We are seeking a certified Special Education Teacher for a full-time position working with students in the Forest Lake, MN area. This position will begin immediately and continue through the end of the school year. Eligible candidates must have a Special Education Teaching Certification and up-to-date background clearances.

Qualifications:
  • Must have a Special Education Teacher Certification
  • Must have recent, up-to-date background clearances
Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
  • Adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities
  • Providing accommodations and modifications as needed to support student success
  • Collaborating with other educators, parents, and outside service providers to design and deliver instruction that meets the unique academic, social and emotional needs of each students
  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Participating in the evaluation and revision of IEPs as necessary
  • Providing support and guidance to students with disabilities to help them achieve their goals
  • Communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child’s progress and needs
