Qualifications

• Kentucky Certificate with endorsements in teaching areas.
• Additional qualifications as the superintendent or Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide an individualized program based on IEPs to SPED students.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district policies.
• Provide a core special education program aligned with Kentucky education code requirements.
• Coordinate and supervise work experiences and in-school job training for SPED students.
• Collaborate with regular classroom teachers to support SPED students in general classes.
• Communicate regularly with parents and other professionals regarding student progress.
• Assist in screening, evaluating, and recommending placements for SPED students.
• Counsel SPED students regarding educational, occupational, and personal goals.
