Title of Position: - Special Education Teacher - Charles Upson Elementary - Consultant Teacher________________________________________________________________________________

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Next Generation Learning Standards and NY state assessments
• The ability and commitment to use technology as an instructional tool
• Ability to differentiate instruction for delayed learners
• Flexibility, enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to develop programs and collaborate with and support other staff
• Loyalty and evidence of being a team player and willingness to collaborate with staff
• Commitment to equity and inclusion of all members of the school community
• Strong understanding of the LCSD strategic plan and culturally responsive sustaining framework
• Strong understanding of positive classroom management techniques
• Strong understanding of special education regulations
