An EIS possesses at a minimum a bachelor’s degree in Early Intervention, Child Development or a closely related field.
Alternate requirement accepted: AA degree in Child Development or related field plus the equivalent of an associate teacher California Child Development permit (12 units) plus coursework to meet EIA competencies, including supervised fieldwork in early intervention and 4 years of experience working as an EIA.
