• Experience working with students with special needs
• Ability to modify curriculum and provide individualized instruction based on IEP goals
• Ability to motivate and work in teams to achieve academic expectations
• Able to collect, analyze and use data to continuously modify instructional program
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Provide a nurturing, supportive classroom climate
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA
• Must be a critical thinker and problem solver
• Must be computer literate and use interactive instructional software
• Excellent classroom management
