Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. in Paterson, NJ seeks an elementary school teacher certified for K-6 with a Students with Disabilities endorsement to deliver individualized instruction aligned to IEP goals.

The role requires collaboration with school leaders and staff, data-driven instruction, and strong classroom management. Qualified candidates will hold NJ instructional certificate for K-6 and the appropriate SLD/Teacher of the Handicapped certification, with experience supporting students

Qualifications

• Must hold NJ instructional certificate for K-6 and a Students with Disabilities Certification or Teacher of the Handicapped Certification
• Experience working with students with special needs
• Ability to modify curriculum and provide individualized instruction based upon IEP goals and objectives
• Ability to motivate and work in teams to achieve academic expectations
• Able to work collaboratively with school leaders and staff to collect, analyze, and use data to continuously modify the instructional program
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the community
• Ability to provide a nurturing, supportive and positive classroom climate that encourages student responsibility, using positive motivation, clear classroom routines and effective classroom management skills
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
• Excellent classroom management
