Formación

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Endorsements in SA - Cognitive Impairment.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work self-directed.
• Maintain high levels of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Patience när working with diverse populations and language barriers.
• Experience with data-driven decision making.
• Familiar with the Common Core standards.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate on course planning and skill assessment; provide instruction.
• Implement the common core essential elements in curriculum delivery.
• Participate in professional development and apply best practices.
• Collaborate effectively and efficiently with colleagues.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for student maturity.
• Administer and develop subject-specific assessments to gauge competency and learning plans.
• Assess student progress toward objectives and communicate feedback to students, parents and administration.
• Instruct students to improve academic success through defined coursework.
• Manage student behavior to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and district policy.
• Accommodate learning disabilities with district specialists as needed.
• Participate in co-teaching with a special education teacher.
• Encourage students to meet classroom behavior standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
