Qualifications

• Must hold Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Endorsements in SA - Cognitive Impairment.

• Experience with data driven decision making and standards alignment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on course planning, skill assessment and instruction.
• Implement the common core essential elements in taught subjects.
• Participate in professional development and apply best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support student learning.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students.
• Develop and administer subject-specific assessments; craft learning plans.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with parents and administration.
• Instruct students to improve academic achievement through a defined course of study.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with policy and regulations.
• Accommodate learning disabilities; involve district specialists as needed.
• Participate in co- teaching with a special education teacher.
