Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract near Benton, IL. The focused caseload is 10 students in a communication disorders classroom, servicing kindergarten through 4th grade with individualized instruction.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, families, and staff to implement IEPs, monitor progress, and support social, emotional, and academic growth in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois LBS1 credential/certification required.
• Experience or interest in working with elementary-aged students (K–4).
• Strong understanding of communication disorders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff.
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Adaptability, creativity, and a commitment to student success.

Responsibilities

Job description

Make a meaningful difference by supporting young learners as a passionate Special Education Teacher on a contract basis. Situated close to Benton, IL, this opportunity allows you to impact students in kindergarten through 4th grade within a specialized communication disorder classroom, working with a small, focused caseload of just 10 students.

Your expertise will shape individualized educational experiences, promote growth, and foster inclusion in a supportive educational environment. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, providing you with consistency and the chance to build strong relationships with your students and colleagues.
