Job summary

Staff Today Inc. is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the Colorado Springs area to support elementary to high school students in an Autistic Support setting (grades 3-5).

You will develop IEPs, deliver tailored instruction, and collaborate with general education teachers and families to promote student success. Qualifications

• Must possess or be eligible for a Special Education license in Colorado.
• Autism and behavior management experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year related experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement IEPs for each student to meet their specific needs.
• Provide specialized instruction, adapt general education lessons, and teach various subjects tailored to students with disabilities.
• Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success and ensure a collaborative approach to education.
• Assess student progress and provide necessary accommodations and modifications to support their learning.
• Ensure students are provided with a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the least restrictive environment (LRE) following procedures and protecting student rights.
