Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 in Colorado Springs seeks a qualified special education teacher. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, a valid Colorado teaching certificate in the assignment area, and Special Education endorsement or eligibility through CDE standards.

Applicants with a BA in any field and pursuing Special Education licensure or enrolled in TE/alternative licensure may apply. 187 days per year.

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Teaching Certificate in the assignment area.
• Must be Highly Qualified by CDE standards in Special Education.
• Endorsed in Special Education or eligibility through specified exams/alternative licensure.
• Applicants with a BA in any field who are pursuing Special Education licensure are eligible.
• Enrolled in TE/Alternative Licensure program acceptable.
• The Board may approve other appropriate alternatives.

Salary

Certified salary is based upon degree status and years of experience. Horizontal advancements are based upon "Graduate" level credits and staff development hours obtained after the last degree was conferred.

Salary Schedule

One year of credit will be provided for each year of approved outside teaching experience.
