Job Description

The Special Education Teacher Assistant - PASS supports students requiring behavioral interventions by assisting in general and special education classrooms under the supervision of teaching staff. Responsibilities include instructional support, student management, data entry, and participation in training activities.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent plus passing a District Assessment
  • Educational Aide Certification
Skills
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with children and adults
  • Willingness to collaborate with staff to support behavioral challenges
  • Must become MANDT trained
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
  • Computer proficiency
Major Duties
Instructional Support
  • Follow TEA and district policies
  • Assist in instructional activities and material preparation
Student Management
  • Maintain student data using provided systems
  • Implement behavior intervention strategies
  • Support students in the classroom
Other Responsibilities
