Special Education Teacher Aide
The individual will provide services in programs of special education, working in a small, specialized high school with students focused on job skills, independence, and academics. The individual will need the ability to take direction, be flexible, be patient, and work collaboratively as a team member. The individual should have knowledge regarding or experience with students with disabilities. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) and de-escalation training is preferred. Regarding physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position, requirements may include the abilities to regularly and repetitively stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, push, pull, crawl, and kneel up to 40lbs. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned.
