Job description

We are seeking a qualified candidate to fill a special education role. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Participating in the Case Study Evaluation Process as needed.
• Actively participating in Eligibility Determination Conference/individualized Education Plan (EDC/IEP) meetings.
• Evaluating, developing, and implementing individual educational programming for students receiving resource services.
• Monitoring resource students’ progress in regular education settings.
• Serving as case manager to ensure the IEP is being carried out.
• Scheduling annual reviews.
• Providing consultation services to regular educators.
• Ensuring the general education curriculum is delivered to special education students to the fullest extent possible, and designing, implementing, and delivering the special education program curriculum.
• Providing lesson plans prior to implementation as decided by the building administrator.
• Providing input to regular educators for students found non-eligible.
• Participating as an active member of the building team, attending staff meetings, and supervising regular and special education students at various times during the day as available.
