Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher for travel assignments in Wilson, North Carolina. You will support students from kindergarten through 12th grade, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized education plans.

The role requires a valid state teaching certificate and a Bachelor's degree. Previous teaching experience and endorsement in Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) are preferred; CPR/health certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Valid state teaching certificate per state regulations.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred.
• CPR certification/current health assessment as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through Grade 12.
• Participate in planning and implementing student programs with team members.
• Deliver special instruction, tutorial support, and consult with general education staff.
• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, and other specialists as needed.
