Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Delaware teaching certification/licensure or eligibility to obtain the credential.
• Special Education certification or endorsement appropriate for the assigned student population.
• Previous school-based or special education experience preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary school teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and support based on students' individual educational needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Adapt curriculum, instructional strategies, and classroom materials to meet individual student needs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families, general education teachers, administrators, and related-service providers.
• Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and emotional development.
• Maintain a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Follow applicable special education requirements, policies, and procedures.

• Pay Rate: $35+ per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
