As a Special Education Teacher with The Menta Group, you will collaborate with clinical staff and other members of the academic team to create and implement classroom interventions tailored to meet the individual academic and social/emotional needs of students.
SY 25/26 Seeking the following classroom teachers:
- Elementary Life-Skills
- High School Life-Skills
- High School ED/Academic Focus
Hours: 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, following a school calendar.
Sign-On Bonus for Certified LBS1 Teachers.
Responsibilities:
- Teach all subjects in a self-contained classroom.
- Classroom sizes are approximately 10 students with paraprofessional support.
- Grade level taught may vary; flexibility on grade levels may be required during the year.
- Provide a differentiated learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with staff, including curriculum and clinical teams, to achieve positive outcomes.
- Personalize learning experiences for students.
- Provide a social-emotional learning environment.
Qualifications:
- IL PEL (Professional Educator's License) with LBS1 Certification or other valid teacher certification. Out-of-state applicants must apply for IL certification.
- Experience and training in curriculum development and mentoring.
- Ability to teach in a self-contained classroom across instructional areas.
- Experience working with youth facing emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges.
- Flexibility, teamwork, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively.
