Job summary

SPG Therapy & Education is seeking a highly motivated Special Education Teacher to join our Walnut Creek team. This in-person role focuses on delivering student-centered supports within a school setting and ensuring positive outcomes for students with IEP goals.

You will collaborate with families, general education teachers, and related service providers, while developing and implementing engaging lesson plans and maintaining progress data.

Qualifications

• Valid California Special Education Credential + Moderate/Severe.
• Ability to work in person with students in a school environment.
• Proficient in IEP case management.
• Ability to communicate effectively and thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
• Are eager to learn, grow, and continuously develop their professional expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students in classroom settings.
• Conduct academic assessments and assist with IEP goal development and implementation.
• Collaborate closely with parents, general education teachers, and related service providers.
• Facilitate student engagement and participation throughout the school day.
• Develop and implement lesson plans and maintain data collection and progress monitoring.
