Job summary

Amergis seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support kindergarten through 12th grade students in Virginia. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• State endorsement in Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• CPR and health clearance as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality special education services to students K-12.
• Collaborate with General Education staff in planning and implementing student programs.
• Offer tutorial assistance and consultation as part of the instructional team.

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
