Impact Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher for school-based roles across the Seattle area. The position focuses on delivering SPED services, collaborating with classroom teachers, and supporting students through IEP development and ARD processes.
Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field and prefer at least one year of K-12 instruction experience, with OSPI SPED endorsement eligibility.

TOTAL COMPENSATION: $74,711-$102,416 based on aligned experience up to 9 years
STATUS: Full time school year, benefits eligible, exempt, in-person position
START : Start date will be determined as part of the offer process

Classroom Management and Organization
Planning, Preparation, & Casework (20%)
Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to modify regular curricula as needed and assist special education students in regular classes with assignments.
Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.
Update monitoring tools to ensure accurate evaluation of scholar progress toward goals.
Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff to develop IEP through the ARD Committee process for each student assigned.
Develop meaningful relationships with families and partners as it relates to scholars on their caseload.
Plan and assign the work of teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and oversee completion.
Development (5%)
Participate in team member training and development sessions to improve job-related skills.
Keep informed of and comply with federal, state, district, and school regulations and policies for special education teachers.

1+ years experience delivering rigorous and engaging instruction in a K-12 setting
English Language Learner Endorsement
Must have or be eligible for certification by OSPI with an endorsement in Special Education
Must have or be eligible to obtain a food handler certification
