Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher for travel assignments in Santa Maria, CA, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator.

The role requires collaboration with general education staff to plan and implement student programs, including special instruction, tutorials, and consultations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university is required.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Elementary Teaching preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Secondary Teaching preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Special Teaching preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable and health screenings as required.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of theSpecial Education Program Administrator provides quality services to specialeducation students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has acommitment to team participation in planning and implementation of studentprograms including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultationwith general education staff.

Minimum Requirements
