Job summary

Every Special Child seeks an energetic Special Education Teacher to support students with academic or physical challenges. You will assess individual educational needs and set students up for long-term success, using compassionate and creative approaches.

The role requires California credential and experience in special education, with a focus on autism understanding and child development. This is a hybrid position with some in-person instruction.

Qualifications

• California Mild to Moderate or Extensive Support Needs Credential is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher and a valid special education license.
• Experience as a special education teacher is preferred; knowledge of autism and child development recommended.

Responsibilities

• Identify student needs and develop IEPs for students.
• Modify the educational curriculum to meet individual needs.
• Apply a range of instructional methods and learning techniques.
• Create and enforce classroom rules and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records.

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team! As a Special Education Teacher, you will work with students with academic or physical challenges. Your goal is to recognize their individual educational needs and set them up for long-term academic success. Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and special education license
• Previous experience as a special education teacher is preferred
• Deep understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related disorders
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
