Point Quest Group is seeking a Special Education Teacher for Mt. Carmel, IL. You will lead a classroom serving students with diverse needs, develop IEPs, and supervise paraprofessionals in a supportive setting.

You’ll implement PBIS, collaborate with families and staff, and document progress toward goals, while aligning lessons to state standards and accommodations.

Formación

• Illinois teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement required.
• Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred in Special Education.
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance as applicable.

26/27 School Year | $40-$45/hour | Full-Time | Mt. Carmel, IL | IL teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement

About the Role:

Lead a special education classroom serving students with diverse learning needs. You'll develop and implement IEPs, manage classroom behavior using PBIS, supervise paraprofessionals, and collaborate with families and staff to support each student's academic and social growth. This role combines instructional leadership with hands-on teaching in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

What You'll Do:

What We're Looking For:

Must Have:

• Valid Illinois teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement
• Bachelor's degree (Master's degree in Special Education strongly preferred)
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance, as applicable by state

Preferred:

• 2-5 years working with students with learning and/or social-emotional needs
• Experience implementing curriculum and behavior interventions
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with IEP documentation systems
