Dassel-Cokato Schools are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a part-time (.20 FTE) role in Minnesota. The successful candidate will develop and monitor IEPs, provide instruction, and collaborate with staff, families, and students to promote academic and social growth.

A valid Special Education license and relevant experience are required. Role emphasizes inclusive education, teamwork, and ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and legal requirements

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction in academic and life skills to students with varying disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate students with special needs into the mainstream classroom.
• Assess and evaluate student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary to ensure student success.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and IEP documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student needs and progress.
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and independence.
• Stay current on best practices and legal requirements related to special education.
• Provide training and support to staff regarding special education policies and practices.
