Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Special Education Teacher to deliver quality services to K-12 students in a part-time contract role in Howell, NJ. You will support planning and implementation of individualized programs and collaborate with general education staff to ensure inclusive student success.

Ideal candidates hold a valid state teaching certificate and a bachelor’s degree, with preference for LBS1 endorsement and prior teaching experience. CPR and health clearances may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard ElementaryTeaching preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard SecondaryTeaching preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teachingpreferred
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
