Job summary

New Story Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Harrisburg, PA to design and deliver individualized instruction for students aged 5–21 with autism and related challenges.

You will develop IEPs, deliver engaging instruction with diverse methods, manage behavior, track progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective learning environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Pennsylvania Special Education certification.
• Minimum three months of experience working with students with disabilities.
• Knowledge of child development, differentiated instruction, and behavior management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs and lesson plans that meet each student’s needs.
• Deliver engaging instruction using varied teaching methods.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Track progress and prepare required documentation and reports.
