Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Special Education Teacher for a travel assignment in Dothan, Alabama. You will support K-12 students with individualized programs and collaborate with school staff to implement services.

The role requires a valid teaching certificate, endorsements as appropriate, and a commitment to meeting federal, state, and local standards. Travel and weekly pay of $1,925 are provided, with a 37.5-hour work week, and we cover housing options where applicable.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsabilidades

• The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
• Collaborate with general education staff for planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation.
• Work as part of a team to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
