Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher for a center-based Structured Learning Services program serving K-5 students with Autism.

Requirements include an in-hand Colorado CDE license (if applicable), experience with Autism and behavior management, and fingerprinting clearance. Caseloads run 8–14 with a day shift, and staff support is strong with district backing.

Qualifications

• Active CDE license required or in-hand for consideration.
• Experience with Autism and behavior management required.
• Colorado CBI and FBI fingerprinting clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Non-clinical school setting at an elementary school.
• Center-based Structured Learning Services program for students with Autism.
• Serves students in grades K-5.
• Caseload ranges from approximately 8–14 students.
• Day shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 5x8 hour schedule.
• Paraprofessionals assigned to classrooms based on student need.
• Join an experienced and supportive staff with strong structures and systems.
• Fingerprinting should be completed promptly upon contract signing.
